We were at the SUNSILK POP-UP SALONĀ  event on 18 May 2013. A big THANK YOU to Danielle Loh of Fulford Public Relations, Gin Wong (Blogger of Ginevi) and Jenny Tan of Beaute Runway!

Meet the Bloggers Gin Wong (ginevi.wordpress.com), Jenny Tan (www.beauterunway.com), Gail (gogail.blogspot.com) and Alene Breddemann (Paper Kitties, from ‘My Fat Pocket)! We all had great fun using SUNSILK’s hair care products, as well as loved the complementary HAIR MAKE-OVER hair styling that we received and the lovely refreshments and Free Photoshoot!

The SUNSILK ‘Smooth and Manageable’ and ‘Nourishing Soft and Smooth’ hair care ranges are available at the SUNSILK Pop-Up Salon at Orchard Cineleisure, NEX Serangoon and AMK Hub over 4 weekends starting from Saturday, 18 May to 15 June 2013. Enjoy Hair Makover, great discounts and offers, gift with purchase, only at Sunsilk Pop-Up Salon!

Here’s Izzie giving the Bloggers an introduction to the Hair-Styling options available: Blow-Dry styles, Pin & Undos, Curls and more!

Brand Manager Shawn gives an introduction of the SUNSILK brand and answers some of the questions from the Bloggers:

Stylist Mich goes in depth on hair care, and gives advice for hair with multiple problems. The key is in alternating shampoos on alternate days. Now we know that having just 1 type of shampoo is not sufficient for healthy hair and scalp!Image

Each of the blogger was given a very heavy and generous goodie bag of 2 series of full hair care range of SUNSILK’s ‘Smooth & Manageable’ and ‘Nourishing Soft & Smooth’ series (full-sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, serum, hair mask and more!). Personally, I am a great fan of SUNSILK, and I use the full range of the SUNSILK ‘Damage Reconstruction’ series. I especially LOVE the SUNSILK ‘Damage Reconstruction’ serum – it makes my hair really silky smooth and shiny and instantly gets rids of frizzy hair and magically makes dry hair appear healthy and shiny! Take a look at the SUNSILK ‘Damage Reconstruction’ serum , formulated by Thomas Taw (Damage Hair Repair Expert) below:

Did you know that hair is made up of a protein known as Keratin, and that Keratin is lost when the hair is subjected to chemical treatment, coloring and blow-drying? This results in hair damage such as split ends, breakage and the ‘broomstick hair’ effect. The products that are available in the SUNSILK ‘Damage Reconstruction’ range are:
1) Shampoo
2) Conditioner
3) Intensive Treatment Mask
4) Serum (my absolute favorite!)
5) Leave-on Cream

Now, according to Angela (manager and consultant of SUNSILK) and Wilfred (Brand Manager of SUNSILK and Unileaver), conditioners should NOT be applied to the roots and scalp of the hair, as this will weigh hair down and make it look flat, especially in our hot and humid weather in Singapore. Instead, we should apply conditioners, serums and hair masks only to the ends of the hair, bearing in mind to apply the formula at a lower level towards the inner part of the hair that is closest to the neck.

The Damage Reconstruction range contains 50% Keratin Creme, and works beyond the hair fiber surface by penetrating deep into the layers of hair for internal and external repair, and the damaged hair gets total reconstruction in just 5 washes!

The Damage Reconstruction Serum (my favorite product!) protects and strengthens the hair beyond the surface, and makes the hair look healthy and shiny INSTANTLY! For long-lasting results, apply the leave-on cream as it manages and protects the damaged hair from pollution, sun and heat by styling tools. It also keeps hair manageable all day long!

Now, take a look at the other 2 ranges of hair products in our generous goodie bag below:

This is the SUNSILK ‘Smooth & Manageable’ and ‘Nourishing Soft & Smooth’ series (full-sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, serum, hair mask and more!).

Looks like the ‘Nourishing Soft & Smooth’ series of products are really popular amongst customers, many of the bottles have been grabbed!

The Nourishing Soft & Smooth range contains 5 natural oils. This blend of natural oils penetrates hair to nourish it better than regular moisturiser. It leaves a thin surface film that prevents moisture loss, but does not weigh the hair down. The perfect remedy for girls who have dry and dull tresses! The products available in this range are Shampoo, Conditioner, Intensive Treatment Mask and Nourishing Oil Spray.

The SUNSILK ‘Nourishing Soft & Smooth’ range of products contain:

1) Camellia Oil
– Derived by cold-pressing the seed of the wild Camedllia Oleifera flowe; Camellia Oil is rich with anti-oxidants that help revitalise hair and boost natural shine.

2) Brazilian Babassu Oil
– This gentle moisturising oil, extracted from the seeds of the Babassu palm that is found growing in the Southern regions of Brazil. It makes hair soft and smooth without leaving behind residues.

3) Coconut Oil
– Coconut oil has been used by women for generations for its amazing moisturising and softening properties. It provides nourishment while creating a weightless protective barrier that retains moisture and gives long-lasting suppleness (makes hair more flexible!).

4) Almond Oil
– With its origins in the Middle East, Almond Oil is rich in lipids and Vitamin E, and is well-known for its ability to soften and nourish, and adds elasticity to hair for perfect movement.

5) Moroccan Argan Oil
– One of the rarest oils in the world, due to its very specific growing areas, this golden-yellow oil originiates from Morocco and its neighboring North-African countries. Widely known for being rich in anti-oxidants and Omega 6 fatty acids, it is also believed to contain twice as much Vitamin E as Olive Oil. It helps to rebuild the cellular structure of damaged strands to repair surface roughness.

It was a real busy night of La Biosthetique HAIR EXTRAVAGANZA, presented by Glamour Salon System, and organized by Flip Leaf Communications, on 18 April 2013!Lead Designer of A-MAZE (Flip Leaf Communications) Derrick Fun designed & choreographed the entire fashion show, together with Zacquine Miken (Director of Flip Leaf Communications) – displaying our unique “Transformative Wear” in fashion where dresses and pants transformed into different types of outfits live on stage.
